The Foundation embarked on a mission to popularize science and research careers through a series of free events known as Researchers' Night. These events include entertaining and inspiring lectures, experiments, lab tours, and other playful programs, aiming to introduce all age groups to the latest scientific research findings. To support this initiative, we developed and continue to maintain the web application for the Researchers' Night event series.

The project's success is attributed to a dedicated team consisting of a project manager, a UX/UI designer, a senior backend developer, a junior full stack developer, a senior frontend developer and a devops engineer. This diverse team ensures a comprehensive approach, covering all aspects of software development, from initial design to final implementation and ongoing maintenance.

The platform development utilizes the Laravel Framework with Vue.JS for the web application and WordPress for the landing page, providing a robust and scalable foundation. The system is designed to handle varying loads efficiently, supported by a scalable cloud-based environment.

The project required a sophisticated web application to manage the extensive event series hosted over two days by hundreds of organizations, featuring thousands of events. Users needed to track, register, and follow events through the web application. Organizers required a system to communicate with participants seamlessly. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the platform was adapted to support online streaming, and hybrid solutions were implemented in 2021 and 2022. The key challenge was to ensure that search functions and filters met user needs and that the site could handle varying loads.

The primary challenge was to create a flexible, scalable architecture capable of managing high traffic and complex event registration processes. The platform needed robust search and filter functionalities to cater to diverse user requirements. Additionally, the system had to support seamless communication between organizers and participants and facilitate online streaming during the pandemic. Through meticulous planning, innovative design, and technical expertise, the team delivered a solution that not only met these challenges but exceeded client expectations in functionality, design, and scalability.

The platform has successfully supported the annual event series, attracting an average of 100,000 unique visitors per day during the event. It provides an exceptional user experience, praised for its ease of use and comprehensive features. The system handles registrations for 800 event-organizing users and 22,000 registered participants, showcasing its robustness and scalability. The addition of online streaming and hybrid solutions has further enhanced the platform's capability, making scientific events accessible even during challenging times.
